Susan Padveen, Bright Angel Retreat owner, is a Chicago director and associate professor of theatre at Columbia College Chicago. She has spent many happy summers in Harbor Country, where she has also presented productions of The Shape of Things, Iphigeniology and The Portrait, an Afternoon with Gustav Klimt at the Judith Racht Gallery in Harbert, MI.  Bright Angel Retreat is a culmination of many years of hosting creatives and other guests in Michigan at her private cottage in Harbert.

Linda Mackay

Linda Mackay, MSW, is a clinical social worker and certified yoga teacher, a faculty member of The LifeForce Yoga® Healing Institute, as well as mentor to new trainees. She has assisted and facilitated workshops and trainings with LifeForce Yoga Institute founder and innovator Amy Weintraub, most recently at The Leading Edge in Toronto and at The Cape Cod Institute. She has led workshops and retreats in Ontario and also in Alberta and British Columbia. Linda has a background as a professional actor and made her career transition to explore the human condtion in this forum of wellness and healing. She spent 15 years at the University of Waterloo's Psychological Services, and now devotes her time to The Space Within in Stratford, Ontario a practice she co-owns which offers psychotherapy, naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, yoga and meditation. She integrates mindfulness meditation therapies and LifeForce Yoga in her clinical work with individuals and in workshops, and teaches weekly yoga and meditation. Linda has presented at provincial and national conferences and is an experienced workshop and group leader. She knows the benefits of LFY tools in both her personal and professional practices, and is thrilled to offer a dynamic, enriching retreat experience.

Brea Hayes lives with her partner and pets on the Fox River in Batavia, Illinois. In her career she has dedicated herself to social justice causes through theater, teaching, facilitation, activism and storytelling. She is a former shop owner currently finding new ways to channel her creativity into making art, homegoods and tasty food. Brea believes that tarot is an accessible tool available to anyone, and is passionate about teaching others how they can dive in and put the practice to use. www.rivertowntarot,com
